The Atlanta Jewelry Show got its start as a small, regional show. As we’ve grown into one of the industry’s can’t-miss shows, we’ve made it a goal to not lose what made AJS so special in the first place: that welcoming community atmosphere and the feeling that you belong here, that you’ve found your people.
Even if it's your first time at AJS, the show feels like the best kind of family reunion, where the conversation is easy and there’s always something fun going on somewhere. There’s always a connection to be made, whether it’s with the cousin you haven’t seen in forever who used to be your best friend or with the newest members of the family who you haven’t met yet but instantly get along with.
When you’re making new connections and strengthening old ones, it’s best to take your time. At AJS, you can take things a little slow. We don’t like to get in too much of a hurry around here, anyway. Don’t get me wrong; when we need to get something done, we hurry up and get it done. But when you’re here, there’s no need to rush. Stay and chat for a minute. If you just make your deals and head out, you’re missing the best thing about trade shows in general and about AJS specifically.
Educational Opportunities
We don’t just create the perfect environment to buy and sell. We also want you to learn something. We want to help you become a better jeweler or a better retailer, and we want to instill a new generation with a love of the craft. That’s why we offer RetailFusion, BenchFusion, FutureFusion, and GIA grading labs.
There’s RetailFusion to help you run your business, BenchFusion to help you advance your skills at the bench, FutureFusion for young people ages 7-11 and 12-17 interested in learning about jewelry-making and design techniques, and GIA educators teaching accredited courses on pearl grading and colored gemstone grading. No other show offers this range of educational opportunities for attendees. Click the “Education” tab above (or open the menu at the top right on mobile) to browse all of our educational offerings and sign up!
Pleasant Surprises
The best thing you can do at a trade show is allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised. If you’re just coming to visit the booths of your regular vendors, make your regular purchases, and get out, you’re missing out on so much of what makes shows like this one so important to our industry and your business. Slow the pace down a little, stroll around the floor, strike up a conversation with someone you’ve never met before. This is a rare opportunity to go in search of the unexpected and strike up a partnership you didn’t know you needed.
Experience the AJS Difference
It’s all of these opportunities to build new connections that make AJS so special, and we’re able to bring it to you because of our nonprofit structure. Other shows have to turn a profit for their investors while also advancing the agenda of those investors. The Atlanta Jewelry Show is produced by the Southern Jewelry Travelers Association, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association. Its purpose and mission is to advance the interests of our exhibitors, attendees, and industry. So come on down and make some new friends.
